Bobby Jones Jr.

A very rare, lithographic portrait of the American amateur golf champion Bobby Jones Jr., after an oil painting by John A.A. Berrie dated June 15 1930. Published by Grindley & Palmer, Liverpool and signed beneath in pencil by the artist. The original hangs in the Royal Liverpool Golf Club and was probably painted to commemorate Jones’ Grand Slam. Wallasey G.C. have the only other known print of this type, it is not known how many were produced, but it is thought that the numbers were very limited. Framed size: 20 x 17 inches. Image size: 10 x 8 inches.
